Sorry!

A really big apology to anyone who has been to this site in the last month or so and discovered that there's nothing new. There have been one or two issues that have got in the way, but hopefully things will be better from now on.

April Conversation starters

• If your life was written as a story, how big would God's part be?

• If God appeared to you in a vision tonight, what would you want him to say? What would you be afraid of him saying? What do you think he might want to say to you?

• Do you feel like a new creation? Why (or why not)?

• How do you imagine heaven? How similar do you think it will be to Earth?

• When Jesus said we should love our enemies, who do you think he had in mind?

• If you knew someone who was always kind, helpful and loving to others, but they denied the existence of God and said that religious belief is always a bad thing, how would you feel towards him/her?

• Does believing in Jesus make a difference to how you live your life? (If you don't believe in Jesus, do you think it would make a difference?) Could you honestly tell a non-Christian that believing in Jesus would improve their life?

Ideas for April

Conversation again this coming Sunday, any ideas? I have the Easter pictures that we used last year (and by the way, we've now been running Conversation for a year!), and I'm going to try and get some new music loaded on to the PC, but does anyone have any thoughts for themes/questions?

Update for March

Sorry that this update from Conversation on Palm Sunday is a bit late: partly because Easter was busy, but also, I think, because we had our lowest ever numbers attending and I was a bit despondent afterwards. Please continue to pray about Conversation: not necessarily that people would come, but that will will be able to show something about a relationship with God in a way that makes sense for people.

Anyway, the "Conversation starters" were:

• Do you follow the crowd? In what way?
• How often do you feel great about a project or idea, and then lose enthusiasm?
• Do you ever read a book or watch a movie purely because it's a "best seller"?
• How do you feel about being unpopular for Christ?

And the post-it notes were:

• Lord, make us a people who neither follow nor reject the crowd for the sake of it!
• Preaching vs. questions/doubts
• Lord, help me to say not only what I think other people want me to say
• This is not a sticky note. QUESTION EVERYTHING.
